What is it and what does it do?

The Intel Power Monitor 3.0 is a software analysis tool for Independent Software Vendors that monitors system activity on computers running Windows* 95 and Windows NT* 4.0 to provide information about software that may be wasting power.

It enables Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to develop software that is friendly to mobile systems, and provides Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs) insight into the effect their hardware has on mobile systems.

The Intel Power Monitor features include:

  • Device Power Monitoring    in version 3.0
  • Configurable Threshold Parameters
  • Moving Performance-Trend Charts
  • Enhanced Event Logging
  • Application Debugging Support
  • Extended Information Display
